Later on that afternoon …
Mika and Darnell are at the Laundromat downstairs in his apartment by themselves.

Mika- so u had fun helping out your g-ma? (Laugh)
Darnell- (adding the detergent) it was aight (laugh)
Mika- (checking his pockets for things before she puts them in the machine) that’s good. (Smile)
Darnell- so how was school? (Closing the machine door and goes to sit down on one of the chairs)
Mika-good (finds a paper in Darnell shorts that has some girl name and her number, suspiciously she asks…) Darnell? Who’s Nyssa?
Darnell- what? (Acting like he didn’t hear her)
Mika- u know u heard me! Who’s Nyssa?!
Darnell- oh that’s just a friend of mines…
Mika- uhnn uhnn! U better not be lying to me.
Darnell- why would I lie to u? (Walks to her and stands behind her and kisses her neck)
Mika- whatever (smiles faintly) she better just be a friend…
Darnell- u know u got nothing to worry about, I ain’t ever gon cheat on you (continues kissing her neck)
Mika- whatever (smiles) (turns around and kisses his lips)

They continue kissing until they are interrupted by the door opening; it’s the manager doing a daily check-up of the room.

Manager- (clears throat)
Darnell- (laugh) hey Jhene…
Mika- (smile) (embarrassed she continues taking things out of Darnell’s pockets)
Jhene- (smiles) I’m happy I didn’t come in here too late (laugh)
Darnell- whatever (laugh)
Jhene- all right I gotta go so, when your done can you shut off everything for me Nell?
Darnell- yea sure
Jhene- (smiles) thx bye (whispers: keep yourselves out of troubles) (laughs and leaves)

The door shuts itself after her

Darnell- (laugh) anyways you hungry?
Mika- yea…I’m starving!
Darnell- damn girl! (Laugh) what’s up with u lately? (Laugh) all u do is eat, and sleep
Mika- boy! shut your mouth (laugh)
Darnell- you know I love u (laugh)
Mika- (smiles)
Darnell- what u want to eat? Pizza or Chinese?
Mika- I don’t know…I feel like just eating a sandwich or something?
Darnell- subway? (Smiles)
Mika- yea…
Darnell- all right I’m a have to go down to the subway 2 streets from here so u gon have to stay here
Mika- okay…I’ll just finish the rest of these

Darnell and mika kiss, and he goes upstairs to his apartment to get a jacket, and his cell phone. When he got everything he needs, he leaves to go walk to the store.
Mika just stays in the Laundromat, cleaning his clothes.

Mika- (thinks to herself: Darnell better not be lying about having that girl’s number. I mean he says he loves me…one side of me doesn’t believe a word he said, but then again he never did lie to me before.)

She starts thinking about other things and how she would tell Darnell that she’s pregnant with his baby and everything when, Darnell comes in the door.

Darnell- hey I’m back. What’s wrong u look all worried and shit… (Puts bag of food on one of the chairs and comes kiss mika)
Mika- (kisses Darnell back) …Nell… I got something I’ve wanted to tell u (voice starts to crack) for a long time, but I didn’t know how you’ll take it…
Darnell- what is it?
Mika- well…I think we better sit down…
Darnell- nah I’m cool standing up.
Mika- (sits down on one of the chairs)…well (breathes in) I’m…I’m…
Darnell- what?
Mika- pregnant…
Darnell- you’re what? (raises eyebrows)(can't believe what he just heard)
Mika- pregnant… (Eyes start getting watery)
