Hello Feis Friends,

Thanks to all who joined us at our inaugural feis last weekend! We have some final information to share:

For those few dancers in the top 5 who tied, your trophies have been ordered and will be sent to you soon.

If you left something behind at the feis, please email us at murrayirishcr@yahoo.com with a description of the item and we will mail it to you. We have found jackets, phones, shoes, a dress cape, bloomers, sweatshirts, and more.

Grade and Champion results have been posted on Feisweb and at www.murrayacademyfeis.com

Hey everyone-I spoke to Mitzy and she gave me an update on Gillian. She is doing GREAT, but working very hard 8 times a day and being very brave. It is not easy, but she is making amazing progress already and is planning on coming back stronger than ever.

Please leave our little Gilly a message....She misses you all so much and will be checking the message board tomorrow.

Hey everyone-

So many brushes. combs, containers of elastics and pins were left at the table on Sunday. I am planning on bringing them in this weekend and leaving them in a large paper bag marked (lost & found). Please take a look and I will toss anything not collected on Tuesday.

I would like to send out my endless gratitude and congratulations to all of the wonderful Murray parents and relatives that helped out today at our inaugural feis. And it is not just today but for over a year now people have worked tirelessly to make our day a success. Many people stopped me to say how helpful, well-run and organized our event was from start to finish and I had tears in my "tired" eyes. So thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart, as well as the hearts of the feis committee. We couldn't have done it without all of you! And Miss Anne.....we love you!

Hello Feis Friends,

Thank you for joining us at our inaugural feis this coming weekend! We have worked diligently to ensure a fun, well-organized event for all competitors. We will do our best to keep things running smoothly throughout the day. Most information can be found on our website, but there are a few additional ‘housekeeping items’ we would like to highlight:

The New Hampshire seacoast is a popular tourist destination in summer. The weekend forecast is predicting a warm, sunny weekend, which could mean heavier than normal traffic on the major highways heading north due to the tolls. Please consider this if you plan to drive up on Sunday. The GPS address for the Feis is 315 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833.

Exeter High School is a brand-new facility. Parking will be plentiful, and we encourage you to park in one of the front lots, as it will be easiest for you if you enter through the main entrance. The auditorium and cafeteria are air-conditioned; the gymnasiums are not, although they do have an air-exchange system that will hopefully keep things comfortable.

Competitor cards have been e-mailed. Printed cards, lost and found, safety pins, and first aid supplies will also be available at the registration/information table located to the right of the main entrance.

All dancing will be to the left as you enter the main entrance, except for Beginners who will dance in the cafeteria.

Maps of the venue and schedule will be handed out at the door. A list of adjudicators is on our website.

Please, no hardshoes in hallways.

The gyms are very spacious and will accommodate all your belongings, so we are encouraging people NOT to camp in the main hallways. Additionally, there are locker rooms and a few designated tables in the cafeteria that can be used for camping.

We hope you can join us at our Opening Ceremony, taking place at 8:15 am in the large gymnasium. We will draw the winner of the free entry at this time. Competitions will immediately follow, so be sure dancers in the early competitions are ready to go.

We are accepting “day-of” soda bread registrations. They will be accepted at the registration/information table until 12:30 pm.

There will be a practice area in the cafeteria, available any time after 10:30 a.m.

All awards will take place on the second floor. The space is easy to access, either by stairs or elevator. Approximate times for championship awards will be posted for your convenience. Postings will be at the bottom of the staircase, as well as outside the door to the award room. If you would like photos to commemorate your dancer’s day, there will be a photographer available. If you bring a thumb drive he will be able to download photos for you to take and print on your own. Championship awards will be photographed and posted on our website.

Our awards committee is happy to announce perpetual cups for the first place winners of all Open Girls comps and 2 Open Boys comps, along with Lindt chocolate and $30 gift certificates for Northwest Designs, the t-shirt vendor of the Nationals (or gift cards if dancer is not attending NAN’s). We will also have medal rounds and top 5 sashes for all Preliminary and Open competitions. Grade dancers will receive their marks via e-mail after the Feis.

Our Food Service committee has prepared delicious and nutritious food, so please plan to have lunch. Stop by our bake sale and grab some dessert, as proceeds go toward Nationals dancers. Vendors will be located in the cafeteria as well, and a list of vendors is located on our Feis website.

Hi Everyone
There are many items in the the lost and found in the small studio waiting area.
Please stop in and pick up your missing items.

In the large blue shoe bin there are many hard and soft shoes, a tiny pair of brown UGG style boots, brown moccasins, and a purple/white 5.5 USA Bloch practice shoes. There were a couple of headbands (one white with a large flower). I have folded the clothes that were on the top of the shoe bin and placed them in the corner by the children's books.

In a separate bin underneath the Dancer of the Month Board there is a bin of Murray track jackets. Items include:

Navy Murray Track Jacket Girls Small No Name
Navy Murray Track Jacket NEO 2011 Girls Small ("Olivia")
Navy Murray Track Jacket Girls Small ("Erin")

Friends,
Grace left her new Murray track jacket out on the bush in front of the studio on Tuesday during class. It was missing when she came back for it. Anyone pick it up in error when leaving? I think it says "Beecher" on the inside tag. Has her name on the sleeve. Thanks!
