If I remember correctly, *which is iffy* Appollo at the time of Ash's conception was going around impregnating woman. "Red Flag" ::important to note: Remember up until this tme Apollymi had not been to conceive and her husband had enlisted the help of others to "create" worlds and children to keep Apollymi happy. (Maybe this is also why Stryker *believes* he is Apollymi's son)::

So Apollymi comes up pregnant. But the Fates declare that her son would be a "God Killer" which frightened Acheron and he demanded the child killed. "Red Flag" I always wondered why Acheron was so quick to want his child dead, especially, if he loved his wife so much! He knew such an act would destroy Apollymi. Did he suspect that Ash may not be his child?

Apollymi, a typical mother wanted to save her child, placed him in the womb of a pregnant woman and linked the two children's life forces in order to insure that her child was not killed. Remember it was a genocidal time. Brothers killed brothers and sons killed their fathers in order to rule. In addition, a common practice still observed in some countries is that children who were less than "perfect" were often killed or left to die. Again, Ash had strange eyes and frightened the mother who had given birth to him. It is my opinion Apollymi knew of this practice and linked the babes life forces to insure that Ash was NOT left to die until she could get to him. I do not believe that Apollymi EVER intended Ash not to be with her eventually. However, her hubby became pissed (his wife may have cheated on him and now she has lied about the baby) and entrapped her where she could not reach her child.

"Red Flag" I am sure I am not the only one who ever wondered "Why Styxx and Ash looks so much alike?" Seeing as they were only birthed by the same woman. Could it be that APPOLLO is actually their father? Which would explain the resemblance (if genetics played a part in mythology). More over, with Ash being deemed a "God Killer" would it now make sense as to the "WHY" Appollo wants Ash dead? From his perspective, I too would be horrified and frightened to know that MY SON is sleeping with my sister AND he is the one person who could kill them all! When looked at in this manner, I can understand why Appollo wanted him dead.

Which also explains why, Ash choses to remove certain bits of Appollo's memory when it comes to Ash's abilities. Remember the assassination attempt in Talon's story? Appollo has no memory of what happened.

I hope I haven't rambled to much. Again, this is just MY theory and I am sticking to it! *wink*
