Subject: I have wondered about that since there have been several instances where glimpses of Ash's whip scarred back are seen. I almost think that Ash has to just wait for the lash marks to heal. If you recall Talon was able to heal others, but not himself because he absorbed the pain into himself. I wonder it it is the same with Ash. It seems that even the gods are susceptible to certain things that can kill them. Look at what the Destroyer did to all of the Atlantean gods. She flat out wiped all of them out in a rage. Hmm, I was thinking.... There is a spot in SOTN after Ash has been dosed with that stuff that turns him grey (don't have the book right here) that he is trying to get everyone to get their minds off of what just happened to him. It says something like he was as close to death as his kind could get. His kind? What kind? And -could get- seems a little fuzzy as well. If I'm getting this wrong let me know b/c the book is hiding and I'm only going from memory: )

[> I think all Gods have to be able to feel pain in some kind of way. They're immortal but that doesn't mean that they're immune to pain. It just takes a lot more for him to feel it. Things that would kill a human will still hurt him and it'll take time to heal, not as long as it would take a human but I think if any God was tortured they would feel it in some kind of way. As for the substance that froze him or turned him to stone (can't remember), everyone has an achilles heel. -- Leiha, 12:18:12 11/27/05 Sun [1]
