I guess I did think of Simi as a pet, but I also saw glimpses of her hormone drive in other books. I know that she is addicted to Travis Fimmel and he is something that she really wants to play with. I kinda thought of her as a sex on the brain teenager. Maybe this is messed up, but I really cracked up when Simi didn't think that Nick was any big thang. She just liked them blue eyed peoples. Things are just so uncomplicated for her and I guess that's just her age and the fact that she isn't human. Nick really is going to have to have an ego boost though.
