I've been looking back through the book and in DMC a blood bond is created and Ash says "This isn't a typical blood bond... Once this is done there will be no way to undo it." which actually leads me to hope that there is a way of at least undoing the blood bond he appears to have with Artie - although I don't think we know the finer details of that yet either (do we?)
