Hi Chris

If by "Splinter Group" you mean the racing of Gravity-Bikes at Gurston, I think you have got the wrong idea. These races will be totally seperate from the BGSA, and if we (the BGSA) do afiliate with the GBA, SSSprint will not. Since Ian, Graham and Mike have been showing up with their bikes Ding has become interested in broadening the activities at his events. The biking at Gurston will not be run by Ding himself, but will have a SSSprint Championship series. SSSprint has been running a hell of a lot longer than the BGSA, OK so it hasn't grown at all and is aimed at beginners, but does that mean it has to shut up shop now?

As for you doing everything yourself, why not ask for help??? BGSA members and beyond have been offering their help for ages, but we are never called upon. Ian is constantly mentioning that he can get bales a hell of a lot cheaper than you have been and can probably find a place to store them. Untill recently he has also been unemployed (HA! HA!) so had plenty of time to visit and assess locations. And while most of us don't have the time or transport to do as much as this; I am sure if you asked any of us to do some promotional work and provided us with the necessary information we would be in there like a shot.

Please do not think that I am bitching at you or the BGSA, we know that the tasks required are to much for one mans time and wallet. We are here to help, we are offering our help, what can we do??? As for SSSprint, the intentions behind this, and we have talked to Ding about it, is to get people interested and started in the sport then move them up to the BGSA for real competition.

I hope you understand and don't hold anything I said against me. Thanks for everything

Joel

P.S. To be honest I would prefer the next event to be at Traws as it would best meet my schedual, but hey... cheers.
