I have had a quick word with the guy who looks after Dalby Forest and he is keen for a race to be held there but on the proviso that it comes under the banner of the BGSA and that the association has minimum £5 million public liability insurance (Chris is looking into this), he's not keen on the idea of individual members having their own insurance.
He's happy for us to use the main drive into the forest and to open and close the road during a race event as long as we pick a sensible time of the year when traffic is at a minimum.
The impression i got is that he's not so happy for the forest roads to be used at any other times unless prior arrangement has been made and so in order that we don't jeopardise any possible future race it might be a good idea to avoid running in the forest unless the commission are aware of your presence.
