Here's another thought

It might be worth trying to haggle to course owners down from £200. Explain to them that it is not being used for motorsports so ware and tear on the track (and as there will probably be few spectators the viewing areas as well) will be negligable, and that if the event is sucessful (of coures it will be) it is likley to become a regular event, but with it's current price tag this is unlikley to happen.
