I love clothes and fashion but I honestly don't think I'd have the patience with this idea at all, it all seems a bit fiddly and annoying, the websites are too fussy i.m.o. and I must admit I'm not quite sure what the attraction is either, I'll ask my daughter to have a look when she arrives and find out what I'm missing.

Well thanks for the feedback anyway -- DZR, 17:42:14 05/28/09 Thu [1] (212.198.136.138)
Do ask your daughter, I'm curious. Apparently these are really taking off.

We don't get it -- andypandy, 23:32:43 05/28/09 Thu [1] (82.30.76.72)
we've been playing with the polydore site for a while but neither of us would choose to use something like this, Tina has more patience that I but even so she didn't manage to finish putting together an outfit and completely ran out of patience eventually. I can see what the attraction might be for sites such as this for some women but personally for me I'm not into chatting about fashion in such detail, asking the girls opinion on here about something is about as far as I would go.
So what is your interest in this, are you interested in the concept or how the website is put together? Actually now I think of it one of the things I found annoying was the speed of the demo vids, much too fast to be of any use for anyone who didn't have a clue, especially the clipper tool vid.
We might try the other site at some point, I'll let you know what we think.

My interest is purely a professional one -- DZR, 00:34:22 05/29/09 Fri [1] (83.157.185.100)
These sites are getting a lot of buzz and a lot of investment. But I'm struggling to get to grips with them (a) because I just don't have time at the moment and (b) because I really am not who the target audience is, and so it is very hard for me to try to see what users are meant to be getting out of this. But it is absolutely my job to understand this kind of thing. The mechanics of the sites is easy for me to work out, but I also need to understand the concept, the user experience.
I think Kaboodle *might* be more your cup of tea.

I confess I initially found it very confusing.............. -- andypandy, 02:34:50 05/29/09 Fri [1] (82.30.76.72)
I personally don't think it's all that user friendly, too much information which takes too long to wade through before you can get an idea of what sort of look you would like to create, I seemed to spend far too much time learning how to use it, by then I was fed up of it and didn't spend enough time putting together an outfit.
I think the only part of the site I didn't look into was the forums, I think I would have to register to access them, that would make the experience of using the site more interesting I would think, there's nothing women like better than chatting, especially about clothes!
