I got made redundant today. Woe!

I was only briefly in work long enough yesterday to be told it was going to be happening, which was a massive shock. Ultimately, because the company is very small and young, they need to restructure things and my role will no longer exist. (About 25% of my job is being taken over by a machine - damn you Cylons!)

So I went back in today, had a meeting with management, and that's me done. Unemployed. Bah!

Really annoying, obviously, but I'm just going to try and make the best of it and look for new opportunities etc. etc.

My team were very shocked as well, but were very sweet and took me out to lunch, so it wasn't too bad.

Time to hit Google, methinks... Reckon if I search under "fucking easy jobs that require no effort and pay bucketloads of money" I'll find something? :-)

... and about a week later I got a phone call asking me if I'd like to move to Paris. So don't despair just yet, see it as an opportunity.
