Subject: Happy Bastille Day everyone

Hi gretch, that's shitty news about the further tests, but hopefully you'll get an all clear. I too have no idea what an iodine free diet is, but beef being on the "do eat" list can only be a good thing. I say eat nothing except prime rib from now on.

Andy, I can't keep track of your love life. Last I heard you had a proper boyfriend and everything was hunky dory. How come it is suddenly crap again?

Gabs, I can't wait to see 500 Day of Summer either, Joseph Gordon Levitt is awesome. But I don't think even Natalie Portman could persuade me to watch Brothers.

I really like this Scottish band called Frightened Rabbit. Here are a couple of their songs:

I've been working like crazy. Pitched to Ferrari, launched

http://rolexrankings.com/ (Firefox 2 not supported, upgrade already!)

am working on a lighter HTML version of this Flash site we did (which is super pretty, note the watches are not just ticking but are on time)

http://tudorwatch.com/

and also working on the planning of the new rolex.com.

Don't think I have much else to add. I've had some visitors. I got invited to a super snobby party at the Bois de Boulogne. After 10:30pm the waiter told us that from now on they only sold bottles of champagne. When I asked how much a bottle of champagne was he told me €350! I left and went somewhere more fun.

This is quite an interesting read about the beginning of Facebook:

My resolve to not sleep with the Icelandic barmaid who is less than half my age is crumbling.

Vive le France!

re the Icelandic barmaid, go for it for goodness sake life is short, face the consequences later if there are any (but don't blame me if it all goes pear-shaped!)

re my love life, shades of Mike I'm afraid, the green-eyed monster looms, its ok to dress and behave in a certain way if there's just the two of us but not when we're out and about apparently, I'm not putting up with that crap again

Can't wait for True Blood, it starts this week here, dvr is set up and ready to go

[> TRUE BLOOD RULES! -- the tee, 06:15:02 07/15/09 Wed [1] (71.231.106.58)

I don't know how many times I've gasped at the last scene. I'm holding off reading the books...usually I want to know what happens. Not this time!

[> I like Keep Yourself Warm -- Gabs, 16:48:15 07/15/09 Wed [1] (83.222.146.38)

You wouldn't happen to have an mp3 of it, would you?

Dude it's summer. You need to chill at some barbeque with a bratwurst and some tequila-pineapple kabobs!

Is that the super young barista who's practically gagging for it? You didn't mention she was Islandic. Does she look like Björk? Do her!

[> [> *chuckle* I'm not quite as enamoured by the thought of the tequila pineapple kabobs as the rest of you -- DZR, 19:16:53 07/15/09 Wed [1] (83.157.149.119)

I think I did mention that Stella was Icelandic. She doesn't look like Bjork. She is very pretty though. Frankly I'm shocked by all of you.

I do have Keep Yourself Warm -- I bought the album The Midnight Organ Fight on iTunes so it is DRM free, but it isn't MP3, it's MP4 (M4A / AAC). Can you play those? (You probably can.)

Shocked, by us? Clearly you don't know us very well. ;p

I probably could but in the meantime I've already got it ripped. Thanks anyway!

It wasn't the tequila that was putting me off -- clearly you don't know me very well! ;p

(I'm not a huge fan of pineapple, something a little cloying about the flavour.)

What do you think of the album?
