(Sometime while they had been talking together, he had found his hand in hers and realized they had sort of just started talking as one, ending each other's sentences. No one else had bothered to talk, they were all just listening to them both in interest.. and he supposed that was why no one had noticed that the wee lass was in pain until her glass had shattered on the floor. In all the confusion that followed, he sort of paled and just sat there looking around at everyone like he had just been privy to a shooting. Just as soon as it had started the room was quiet and it was just the MacTierneys, Mairah and himself. He cleared his throat.) Well.. I think our story is a lot less interesting now.
