• To say she was pissed off would be an understatement. She was in pain, she was wet and gross feeling and her husband wasn't talking to her, he was talking to the elderly maid. Snatching the gown away from Nell - she would feel horrible for her attitude later and apologize profusely - she shifted off the bed and stalked into the bathroom to change them and clean herself up a bit. She had a good ten or eleven minutes between pains and so took her time and was actually just about to come out when another pain hit her and she cried out, gripping the counter to hold herself steady as she panted her way through it, her eyes squeezed shut and her lip tucked a little to firmly between her teeth. • (He looked like a deer in the headlights as she snatched the clothes from Nell and he noticed that she was actually pissed off. To say he was confused would be an understatement. He had only been trying to get Nell to realize that he would probably be in the way and that his only concern was making sure that she was comfortable.. when she left the room, the two of them exhanged glances and he sighed. Crossing his arms, he stared at the bathroom door as he waited for her to return, feeling useless and becoming more and more excited as he realized that they were going to be having a baby that day.. When he heard her cry out, he moved to go to her, but Nell put a hand to his chest and shook her head, going into the bathroom herself to make sure that Jai was alright and to help her through the pain.. now he really felt useless.) • She nodded at Nell and waited until she caught her breath before she sighed deeply and cleared her throat, nodding that she was ok and finally coming out of the bathroom only to launch herself into her husbands arms. "Hurts." She stated with a whimper, hiding her face in his shirt and twisting her fingers in the fabric. She had changed into a long dressing gown, making herself more comfortable and her body more ready and prepared to give birth. "Is the doctor on its way?" • (He had been prepared for her to come out still pissed about whatever it was she had been pissed about, but whens he appeared and launched herself at him, his breath came out in a whoosh as he caught her in his arms.) Och.. Jai-lass.. (He murmured to her and ran his hand over her back, feeling horrible for her.. he didn't like her being in pain at all.) Aye, he'll have drugs for ye.. (He said in a soft tone as he simple held her, one hand against he back of her head, the other running over her back as he soothed her... he knew that this was going to be very hard on her, she was a small lass and from the looks of her the bairn was not as small as most. • She sighed and let him move her to the bed, her hands going to her stomach as she took a few deep breaths while Nell want to go get some ice chips for her. She looked over at her husband, her brow furrowed as she shook her head. "I don't wanna do this anymore, is that ok?" She questioned, her eyes widening. "Damn it, it was because we had people here, everytime there are people here something happens. I could have never gone into labor if we didn't have people here." She huffed, letting her head fall down into the pillow, biting her lip as she looked up at the ceiling and tried to close her eyes - hoping this would be done with when she opened them. • (He let out a slow breath as he listened to her speak in her normal overexcited pitch. Every now and then she would get like this, almost pouty and definitely a princess streak.. he loved it because it was part of her. Sitting at her hip, he laid his hand over hers on her belly and ran his other hand over her forehead and back through her hair.) Ye willna have to do it alone, love.. I'll be right with ye and just think.. soon ye'll be holdin our first bairn.. (His head tilted a little as he gazed at her, his eyes full of love and amazement.. his wee lass might complain but that didnt mean she wasn't the strongest woman he had ever been with.) • Her eyes widened at that, incredously. "First?! You make it sound like there will be more. No more Adair, no more. This is not fun. No more. One baby." She was speaking firmly in little fragmented sentance as if that would prove her point more. No woman wanted to think about more children when she was going through the worst pain to have to deal with as a woman. "Where's Addie? I want Addie to know that she's going to be in this position..." She smirked lightly but then winced, grabbing his hand and squeezing tightly, her back arching and a sharp cry escaping her lips as another contraction seized her tiny frame. • (He only smiled indulgently as she spoke, knowing that she would of course hate the idea of more children when this one was causing her so much pain, but he figured letting her crab at him about it was at least distracting her from the pain. He didn't like that she was hurting, but at least he was able to remain calm and work with her through it, unlike his brother and Lochlann.) Addie is probably still ta-ahhh.. (He broke off as she clamped down on his hand, realizing then that his wife had a very strong grip and he had better keep his more fragile anatomy away from her in case she decided to make sure this was their only child.) • She took a few panting breaths as soon as it was over, her head falling back into the pillows as tears pricked at her eyes. She was to breathless to speak yet as the door opened and Addie came in, coming to her sister in laws side with the ice chips Nell had sent her up with. "I think Dageus is to much of a baby to come up here and wish ye luck." She stated teasingly, brushing her friends damp hair off her forehead before she offered her an icechip and then looked to Dare. "The doctor will be here any minute, Dare, are ye ready to see yer lad?" • (He kept running his hand over her side in a slow soothing manner as she rode out the contraction, not realizing he was holding his breath until she let her own out and slouched back. He looked over as Addie entered and shifted to let her join them on the bed, his hand still fimly gripping hers to his chest and his eyes searching hers with concern.) Dageus is still a wee bit squeamish about the idea of a bairn bein born. (He said with a brotherly smile, looking over at Addie and then back at Jailynn.) I've been ready, it's all about my sweet Jai-lass now.. (he said in a soft tone, brining their joined to his lips and kissing the back of her hand before returning it to his chest.) • She was about to answer but another contraction hit and she hadn't been expecting it so soon after the last one. Her eyes started welling with tears as a sharp, loud, clear cry of pain echoed through the room, squeezing her husbands hand as she rode out the contaction. Everyone in the manor had to be able to hear her cries and within a few minutes of the long contraction the doctor came bounding up the stairs to the room, coming in immediatly and getting set up. He smiled warmly at all those in the room before he checked to see how far dialated Jailynn was. After the initial examination he raised his head and tugged off the gloves he was wearing.   • She had gotten annoyed earlier with the Gaelic though really, in all honesty, the majority of the time she enjoyed it. He tended to whisper it to her when they were making love, so perhaps that was the reason but at the moment she was in to much pain to even really realize that he wasn't speaking english. A soft cry escaped her again as she winced against the pain, holding onto her husbands arms now as she tried hard not to push until the doctor told her even though it felt like she needed too. When the doctor told her to push, she nearly wept in relief but instead focused all her energy on pushing as hard as she could, breathing in between push's as the doctor and Dare both encouraged her. • (He might have told Nell that he would need to be told what to do, but it seemed as though the moment she had cried out in pain he had instinctively known what to do and had been with her at each step along the way. Now that the doctor was telling her to push, he was letting her use his body as a sort of resting place, giving her his warmth and strength between pushing. He was constantly murmuring to her, mostly in gaelic but every now and thenin english as well, just letting her know that he was proud of her.. that she was doing so well and that it would all be over soon.. his gaze was intense as he watched her, every ounce of his being focused on what was going on between the two of them and the birth of their baby, as though the doctor, Addie and Nell weren;t even in the room..) • She cried out, the doctor encouraging her to keep pushing, that he could see the head. Her own head tipped back against her husbands shoulder, panting as she tried to gather some more strength. She had started feeling extremely tired, weak, she was just about to sag to the bed in defeat when she heard that he could see the head and it was like she got a fresh burst of energy. Her hands moved to rest on Dare's legs, squeezing heavily as she pushed, crying out as she did so. The doctor kept talking, saying he could see the shoulders and then the tummy. "Your baby is going to be here any minute, Jailynn, keep pushing sweetie, just a few more..." He encouraged, and then two pushes later the sharp squeal of a baby crying was echoing through the manor.   • She was crying, straining to see her baby as she panted to get her breath. She was sore but feeling better already, reenergize at the idea of their baby being there. She rested her head back against his shoulder, biting her lip as she took a few deep breaths before looking up to him. "I love you too...so much..." She murmured, covering his hand with hers before she looked up as the doctor announced that the baby was a healthy little girl. Her eyes moved up to her husband, wondering how he would take the news of him being oh so wrong about the gender of his 'bairn'. "A baby girl..." She murmured, still in disbelief that she had just delivered a baby and suddenly stuck that her own mom wasn't here to see their little girl right then..though they would be there soon she believe.     • (He had never felt so much love welled up inside him, it was making him feel overwhelmed and at the same time he was calm and relaxed with the knowledge that his family was safe. When she commented on the baby, he laughed a little.) She's beautiful, even if she is wrinkly.. and she's tiny like her mam. (He said as he contentedly held them both near, shifting a little bit only as she did to bring a hand to her cheek as he returned her kiss. As they both gazed at the baby, he got an idea and in a reverent voice, he gave the lass a name.) Kenna Alexandria MacGregor.. (He had joined their families with that name, shown respect and love for the mother's in their clan. As he watched the wee bairn nurse, he let out a soft sigh and pressed his lips to her neck.) • She smiled sweetly at that, running her hand over the infants feather like dark hair. "She's got your hair..." She murmured before she smiled and nodded. "Yeah..thats a perfect name for her." Lovingly, she tipped her head for a kiss before she shifted the baby once she stopped nursing, burping her as she had been told to before she looked up to her husband. "Do you want to hold her?" She questioned, already feeling a bit weepy with her exhaustion and all the emotions that were running through her.
