(He nodded at her words and pressed his lips to both of her cheeks, then her forehead and her temple, just so glad that he had her in his arms again. When she looked down at her stomach and laid her hand there, he had a fleeting moment of fear that slipped through him.. he had no way of knowing that the baby wasn't moving.. but he didn't like the way she had looked worried when her hand moved. He would just think about it later, right now he had to tend to Shay. Carefully, he picked her up from where she was sitting in the corner and cradled her close to his chest as he followed Gia and Kyrian out of the building. He took the agency issued car that Gia had driven over in, the others would finish up the case.. as Commander he didn't have to debreif. He set her inside the car and turned to look at Kyrian, who was looking at Shay though the window of the car. The other man made a motion to his heart then pointed at her, saying he loved her, and that made Remy smile for the first time in weeks.) I'll take care of her. (He said softly as he walked around to get into the car, driving her home.)

As soon as they were outside of the room she winced and turned her face into his chest, the bright light hurting her eyes which hadn't seen much light at all in the past three weeks. She kept them squeezed shut for the moment, until she was in the car when they fluttered open briefly but before long, hell, before he even really was in the car and driving - she was asleep. She hadn't felt safe enough to really get any good sleep while she was there but his comforting presence had her going straight to slumber land. (NT) -- Shay, 10:46:06 03/17/06 Fri
