"A monster truck would have been fun..." She stated with a grin before she injected him with the liquid painkiller, her eyes moving over him absently to make sure he was relaxing before she started the car up and headed towards the highway again. She turned the radio on low, more background noise then anything else, something to keep alert while he dozed and she drove. Her eyes wandered to him a few times, just waiting till he was asleep and then occasionally checking on him. As they had discussed, she drove a good five hours before finally pulling over to some no name dive hotel. She went in on her own and got a room for them under another different name and then came back out, opening the passanger door and leaning over to press a warm kiss to his lips, lingering there for a few long moments, just kissing him in the parking lot to rouse him out of sleep before drew back. "Come on, a bed would be way more comfortable." She stated finally, a smile on her face as she grabbed their bag and waited for him to get out before she led the way to the one bed room...

(He had slept on and off for forty minutes until the morphine fully kicked in then he had been out cold until they got to the hotel. He woke to the press of her lips against his, his eyes focusing after a moment and his good hand lifting to her cheek before she pulled back, his expression somewhat dazed and lopsidedly pleased to see her. At her words, he groaned.) Remind me to kiss you again when we're inside. (He said at the wonderful thought of a bed, unfolding his frame from the car with another completely different groan, and then following her inside once the car was locked up.) Whew..nice digs.. (He teased, looking around the dimly lit room.. the sort of place a hooker might bring a john.. but the bed looked clean and he didn't really care at the moment.) How are you holding up? (He asked with a yawn, looking at her as she set the back down, his mossy eyes rimmed with dark circles from the trip, he could only imagine how tired she would be.)
