(He had never felt so overwhelmed in his excitement before, and had he not been on medication for his condition it would have surely thrown him into shock. His smile broadened as she threw herself into the shocked arms of his partner, and then at the woman who Kyrian had dubbed 'the ice queen', a woman who didn't look the least bit icey even though she was surprised. He shook hands with his Commander, sharing a nod with him meant to respect his higher position in the military. Remy, unlike Kyrian, was still a Navy Seal at heart and still maintained his position in the military - and had he not been married in such a spontaneous fashion he would have done so in his dress uniform. The older man had had a bottle of champagne and his dismissal papers sent up to the penthouse suite - he was releaving Remy of his duties as of that morning, though he knew the man would continue to work through the week to protect his wife. Remy smiled as he watched Shay and Haylie and wrapped an arm around Shay's waist from behind, holding her against his chest as Haylie spoke.) Well now.. I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate.. (He said with a smile, his way of thanking her without embarassing her.)

(He couldn't deny that Shay's boisterous happiness made him happy even though he was surprised when she hugged him. He pressed a friendly kiss to her temple and smiled over at Remy as the man came over to hold onto her in a possesive manner. His eyes shifted to Haylie as she spoke and his head tipped a bit, endeared by her thoughtfulness, even if she seemed like she didn't want to be known for it - it was sweet of her to do something like that. He smiled as he ran his hand back through his hair, trying to figure out how he felt about that, knowing that she was a much better person than she let on.. that she cared about other people and was thoughtful like that. Could he remain untouched by her if he kept walking headlong into this relationship? He wasn't sure of that, but before he could take the time to really think about it, the three of them had started moving towards the door and Remy had called to him, pulling him out of his dazed reverie.) Yeah, I'm comin. (He said in his Aussie style, jogging a couple steps to catch up and looking over at Haylie as he fell into step beside her. Her eyes were so beautiful that for a moment he forgot about his need to protect his own interests and put his hand at the small of her back.. they would party tonight and think about it all later.)
