Her smile changed into a slow smirk as she watched him, her eyes appreciatively taking in his appearance before she took a step forward and spoke, her voice soft and pointed. "Just so you know, hotshot, I don't lose." She stated firmly, winking teasingly before she shifted to warm up by swimming the pool crosswise quickly. After a moment she stepped back to the edge of the shallow end, tipping her head to the side as she waited for him. "Ready?" She questioned, waiting till he was settled before she looked up. "One..two...go!" She couldn't help but smirk as she took off and for a long moment they were side by side and she got a little worried. He was tired though and she took advantage of that and used an extra burst of speed towards the end, getting ahead of him just in time to turn as she leaned against the edge of the pool, watching him touch after with a cocky grin. "So...how's nine a.m. sound to you? Figure we'll get in a good three hours and then you can just keep on working through lunch..I'll just go pick up take out or something so I don't mess up your groove or anything." She pursed her lips, one finger raising to tap them lightly. "Or we could start at seven instead..you know, nice and early to get more done.."

  • (He had been pretty confident when the race started, and had gotten into position with a smirk and a slow nod. He had known just about halfway across the pool that he was a goner, by the way his relaxed and tired muscles protested to the sudden workout. Any other day he was a powerhouse in the pool, and it sort of irritated him as he brought himself up at the edge of the pool with a hand on the stone edge. He eyed her with a rueful smirk as she teased him, then he raised his hand to put his palm over the top of her head.) Nine is fine.
