My wife read my post regarding folks along the Sabine River and also read Steve's cheery post about the native population. She advised me not to run off the customers! Thus, at her suggestion, I will mention the diversity of cultures, the scenic beauty of the Cane River area and the Kisatchie Hill, the history, the food, and that most folks are friendly and neighborly. Since she has kin from along the Sabine and the Cane, I must say that the ones from the Sabine bottoms would not be trusted around my hogs or any other things of value, but the Cane River folks are certainly of a higher order. Don't tell her I so bashed her Sabine kinfolk.
