Charles Mathis and I are getting to the event on I-20 via Jackson and Vicksburg. Likely cutting south at Monroe or Ruston. Shiloh is a might out of the way. Obviously, your mileage may vary.

Might make a loop back to Vicksburg via Port Gibson on the way back.

Ummmmm. That's really out of the way.

I've been looking on the net for places, but I don't expect too many fish houses worth visiting are going to have web pages. I may take a gamble on one of the places noted on the http://www.catfishrestaurants.com webpage. At least they represent places from which to start salivating.

It's important to get some local culture when traveling far from home. Although I do admit going to the starbucks webpage searching for coffee houses along my route. To my surprise, several are located along I-20 between Jackson and Vicksburg. Some in Alexandria, too. I don't sip lattes or other effeminate fru-fru drinks. I just like strong drip coffee made from good beans.
