Hopefully, men who have made long marches or hikes before, will know that the caloric outgo for such is high and will not underestimate the food they will need for two days. I believe the modern Army advises that a man will burn 300+ calories per hour durning a road march over a moderate route at a moderate pace. A skirmish company will burn more if required to engage the enemy. A pioneer company aiding the wagons will burn more. So, simple math will show that a lot of calories will be burned in a day. The building of fortifications at the end of the day will add to the required calories. All of that said, it would be nice if Mr. Duffer and Mr. Aufmuth would address this, or at least have their company commanders to address this and other things. Hopefully, in the near future, this will happen.
