Bingo Joe.

First, let me comment that we civilians are going to be way the hell over there.......you will not see more than a few of us until way into the event. Those that you will see will be hungrier than you are.

Essentially, any foraging to be done from civilians must be prearranged and preplanted. The army may encounter some traveling families in their paths--realize that these folks are carrying ALL their food for the event with them. They have no baggage wagons as you do. They also have children with them.

Oh, you can talk about taking their stuff. You can search them within the limits of 19th century manners. You can detain them. But you CAN NOT make off with all their food.

They are miles from the static civilian area. They are on foot. Some of these folks have real physical limitations and could not be present without the group support that is with them.

We'll be talking more about rules of engagement with civilians for this event--but realize that we play a bit differently that y'all do. There are no 'dead companies' that come back tomorrow.

If you shoot a civilian and kill him or her, that person is going to the parking lot. If you take all their food, that person is going to be hungry.

So yeah, y'all boys need to talk about what makes up two days rations.............and if you have any fresh fish in the crowd, somebody better spend some real time on them, or it will be just like the old boy at Corinth who came looking for my trash bag so he could put his 'soup in a cup' container in it. Trouble was, I didn't have a trash bag, cause I didn't have any non-period trash.

Axe in hand.
