Isn't it sad that members of the Black/African American race spend time keeping themselves in some sort of suffrage. Everytime their life doesn't end up as they had hoped, it is because they are black. How sad for people trapped in this self diluted state. I agree with the above poster, based on the scoring mechanism for Miss America, Miss SC was knock down GORGEOUS, but her talent was so very weak so she lost the majority of those points...up against Opera...there was just no chance. I am WHITE, but it thrills me when I score a pageant and the girl I thought should win based on my own scoring, does. SC was my 3rd Runner up. I actually had Miss Colorado, the nurse with the controversial monologe as the winner. I had Miss GA as First runner up and Meg as Second runner up. I was shocked that Miss Iowa, a double prelim winner did not make top 5... That is when Miss MS. made my 4th runner up...

So, black, smart, talented women have the same opportunity to win a Miss State or Miss America title but you got to earn the points!

Miss Alabama has Brianna Kinsey, M'ia Callens, Chassidy Sumler, etc. All are very talented and Brianna and M'ia have both scored in the Top 10 and above on more than one occasion. Chassidy has won talent in Miss Alabama pre-liminary. So what's your beef? Everyone saw Caitlyn Brunell being the winner but no one really predicted Meg would win. And, Meg has finished higher than any Miss Alabama in quite some time. Who can predict what the future holds? Black, white, asian, hispanic, etc. whoever wins the title, support and move on.
