Here is my problem with this entire post. Color is not a scoring section in Miss Alabama or Miss America. First of all not all one race are the same. To say that one person SHOULD win becasue they are black, white or in between is ridiculous. Miss SC was beautiful and had a nice swimsuit, but the girl could not sing and bombed her question. If she had deserved the crown she would have gotten It. Second of all, racism does exist in pageantry. It shouldn't but it does. At the end of the day I have not seen a girl WIN a pageant becasue she is black but I have seen girls NOT win a pageant becasue of race. Lastly, I know there is a lot of discussion about how Alabama will never another black contestant and that's shame. As a fan, I want the best person for the job to win the crown whether they are black white or asian ect. So let's stop this want should black girls do debate and focus on supporting our state contestants.

Dos anyone think Miss Georgia won - as a backlash over the Solo Cup talent last year. And after several years of being overlook, most every state in the SEC was in the top 15. Is this a backlash? Ms. Cantrell had the best talent! Personally will hold my judgement (although it means nothing) until I see Interview Tape. Personally, I would overlook her in a crowd of people, but am sure she will do an adequate job!
