 Let's say you are black (oops, I mean african american), and I am white (caucasian that is), and for whatever reason I call you a "typical black person." Wouldn't that sound like a prejudiced statement? Stereotypical at the very least, but I think most would agree racist. Racism does go both ways, you know. Blacks can be racists too. Furthermore, do you remember when Biden called Obama "clean and articulate?" He was forced to apologize because many felt that by complimenting one black man, he was putting down the rest. In other words, he supposedly inferred that most blacks aren't clean or articulate. If Biden payed McCain the same compliment, would anyone have said a word. Of course not. Does this mean Obama is a racist? Not necessarily, but it is a racist statement.
