I started douching when I was in college. Back in the 70s most of the women in my suite did and while I'm not proud to admit it, I gave in to peer pressure. Most of the time it was a post-menstrual period, but we would also douche before a big date. Of course if that date had been really hot we might feel the need to douche the morning after it.

Summer's Eve had only recently been introduced and was expensive. The douche equipment of choice was the folding syringe although there was the occasional bulb, Shy, and combination bags also. No one thought twice about seeing someone preparing their douche at one of the sinks. They were taken either in the shower or in one of the toilet stalls.
