You are responsible for paying AM&T all commissions and you are responsible for checking with AM&T to make sure AM&T has been paid the commission by the client. In the event the client does not pay AM&T directly, you are still responsible for paying AM&T's commission. So many are booking jobs now, we need to remember these things! If you are between the ages of 15 and 80, and interested in being in the feature film, "Zombieland" starring Woody Harrelson...please go to Black Crow Media at 17111 Ellis Drive in Valdosta, Georgia 31602 between the hours of 4pm and 8pm. All children under the age of 15 will be cast directly through AM&T. More details to follow! Acting experience is not necessary but appreciated! They will be auditioning Zombies as well as taking photographs for those interested. Scenes will film at various times most shooting will be a night and require a full night or day of commitment. Our zombies are ferocious, infected people that move erratically. They are diseased, as opposed to undead. These are not the lumbering walking dead of Romero's zombie movies, but instead the super jacked up 28 Days Later / Dawn Of The Dead (2004) zombies. They are scary and gnarly and gross. They have the abilities of amped up versions of people, similar to when your child is trapped under a car and you lift the car off of them. I see them moving somewhat similar to velociraptors, always alert, sniffing the air for prey, and when they strike, they strike fast and furious. Their movement should be somewhat unnatural, to indicate that they are not human, and because the disease is coursing through their veins, a certain level of jerkiness and a crazed look will reflect their nature like a rabid dog. Date Posted: 09:40:29 01/06/09 Tue WOW!!! What an amazing week!! It was stress-free! God was EVERYWHERE! Aaron, Amber, Aldine and I had the best trip! I missed my baby girl like crazy though!! We left before the awards so I am going off several text messages and Aaron's attempt to write down who won what!! So...if I make a mistake..please correct me. I am waiting on AMTC to send me a final list of awards. Everyone from AM&T received 7 callbacks or more! WOW! Everyone from Direct Orlando received at least 1 callback or more! WOW! Amber is officially hired by Herman-Lipson Casting to be Barry Shapiro's assistant beginning in May for the summer. CONGRATULATIONS AMBER! She will also work at New York Model Management and has a lead to Teen Vogue as well. Maggie Holman made everyone cry with her amazing song as she played the piano and entertained everyone at the talent show! WAY TO GO MAGGIE! There were agents ready to purchase her CD right then. She was also awarded a finalist in Singer/Songwriter, Teen Fashion Petite and Teen Actress. WAY TO GO MAGGIE! Chance was awarded Overall Teen Actor and was a finalist in Male Teen Fashion Model and a finalist for GRAND OVERALL Teen Actor and Male Teen Fashion. Way to go Chance!! Amanda Cook was awarded finalist in Talent and Teen Fashion Petite and Teen Actress. Way to go Amanda! Chance also received the Spirit Award for always encouraging others throughout the AMTC week and before. Erin Ryan from Orlando and Mayor John Fretti's niece won Overall Female Fashion Model and Overall Female Actress for her age group. Miracle Sims was awarded the Spirit Award for the Orlando group. Creative Runway was incredible! GO AM&T! Agents loved our photography! Kaileigh received two callbacks from her program book picture....and she didn't even compete! She thinks that is REALLY NEAT!! Our students in group classes will select topics from four categories, work together to write a script, cast the characters, select locations, work on wardrobe and makeup, select props, create a movie board, film their "movie", edit it on our movie software, and present it at Premier Night at Mathis Auditorium to our AM&T family and their friends. Our Premier Night will be complete with a red carpet, "paparazzi" and a concession stand! Their short films will be included on their resumes. The agents who visit us April 24th through the 26th will all receive a copy of each movie. Classes will resume for all students on January 5th. If you need a new class time, please let us know. If your child would like to be included in a group class, we can find one for your child's age. SOUTHEAST MODEL & ACTOR SHOWCASE MEETING We will have an information meeting for the Southeast Model & Actor Showcase on Saturday, January 10th at 11:00am. The location to be announced the week of January 5th and flyers will be sent home. This is a main stage production produced by Theatre Guild Valdosta and The Gingerbread Players of TGV. On January 4th we will audition 6-10 year olds from 2-4:00pm, 11-14 year olds from 4:30-6:30pm and 15year olds -adults beginning at 7:00pm. On Monday January 5th auditions will begin at 6:00pm. *We encourage you to come to the Sunday auditions if possible. Tuesday-Wednesday is reserved for call backs beginning at 5:30pm, and Sunday January 11th will be a 2:00 read-through and mandatory cast and crew orientation. Parents of children in the cast/crew will be required to attend and all cast will need to sign-out scripts with a deposit at that time. Ages 6 to adult are encouraged to audition. There are 28 speaking roles, and the possibility of additional non-speaking parts. Peter Pan is a full scale musical. Everyone auditioning needs to come prepared to sing. We require 16 bars with NO musical accompaniment. Please limit your selection to 16 bars. We will have to cut you off after 1 minute due to time constraints. Simple choreography will be taught as part of the audition process. We strongly suggest you download an audition form from this website (below) and complete it prior to arrival. I cannot wait to see the video because the view from the side stage was amazing so it must have been really good from the audience. Thank you all for your continued support and for believing in AM&T and for your trust. This presentation was very special to us. Last night after decorating, I really had my doubts if we could pull off snow...a balloon drop...fog....a successful slide show. I turned it over to God and it all worked out! It was nothing short of a miracle that those children changed clothes that fast!! Thank you to the parents who volunteered: Stacey Varner, Jennifer Scott, Tina Guess, Diane Riley, Shanta Jackson, Candy Rowe and Rhonda Smith. If I missed anyone...I am so sorry!! :) Thank you Norma Gaskins for the decorations! The milkshake and popcorn looked great!! Thank you Amber, Aldine, & Blake! We decorated until almost midnight last night and they were right up at Mathis again first thing this morning. They are truly dedicated. We missed Miss Ammie! She is visiting her family in Texas. Everyone save your group clothes! We will perform these routines at the Southeast Model & Talent Showcase. The agents that were here today were BLOWN AWAY!! I knew they would be though! The models and actors are so excited about the presentation! We are having two rehearsals this weekend. Saturday from 10am to 1pm and Sunday from 3pm to 5pm. Please pack snacks for your children and remind them to be patient. We also ask parents to be patient. We are running through the entire show several times and need to make sure everything is just right. Amber, Aldine, Ammie and I decided today to not have a reception afterwards. We simply cannot do it and direct and produce the show. If any of the parents would like to manage the reception, that is completely fine, but just know that we cannot help at all. It is a scam. They will ask for thousands of dollars and then will ask you to go to Pennsylvania. This is after they take pictures of your child that you will never see. I have tried my best to stop these scams from coming into Valdosta. Sadly, anyone who pays the radio may advertise and anyone who pays may rent out the ballroom at the conference center or the Holiday Inn. A new version of the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly old man, who receives a Christmas Eve visit from the ghost of his partner, Jacob Marley, warning him to mend his selfish ways. During the night three spirits appear before Scrooge, showing him visions of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future, finally revealing the possible results of his unloving, uncaring life. He promises to change; he's not the man he was. Upon awakening Christmas morning he joyfully flings open his window, and cries out: "Oh, Jacob Marley and Christmas time be praised! I'm still here! (picks up some clothes, drops them, tries to sit, but can't contain himself) I don't know what to do! (laughs) I'm as light as a feather, I'm as happy as an angel, I'm as merry as a school boy! Even my kids, the original creepy crawlers, watched, breathed, and lived every moment of a shortened, updated version of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol.' Many of you submitted your pageant and prom attire for the sale. Afterwards, I gave everyone 30 days to come to the studio and pick up your items. So, not only did I take them to Cordele for the sale, I also brought them back here for you. Needless to say, there are SEVERAL remaining. I am NOT responsible for these items. I also do NOT have the time to look through my vintage collection and other closets for these items. This came about after one of our precious students, whom I love, asked for her dresses back today and I only had the time to find two. This made me realize I needed to send this email out to everyone. So, if your items are STILL here, you may come here by appointment and we will do our best to find them for you. But AGAIN, I am NOT responsible for these items that were left here after plenty of warning to come get them. There are a few who recently brought items for any students interested. We ask that you also retrieve these items by November 7th. We wish we had time to help you sell your items, but our focus must remain on our students and their time here. After the deadline, the dresses will either remain here and be the property of AM&T or will be donated to the Salvation Army. This is the same protocol that every consignment business also practices. We have a few reminders! 1) We are closed November 24th thru 28th for Thanksgiving Holidays. 2) Recital Fees of $50 per family are due by December 5th. If you pay by December 1st, you may deduct $5.00 and pay $45.00. I LOVE SPECIALS! 3) Our Tuition Special will continue for December. We can almost get 3 gallons of gas with that $5 we saved!! ALMOST...I'm being very positive! Would love to see it hit $.87, which is what it was when I graduated high school!! :) If you are planning to take $5.00 off for your tuition, you may drop it in our mail slot or use Paypal for Echeck, and all major credit and debit cards before December 1st. 4) This week, all students will receive their music and a list of their performances and clothes to go with performances. If you do not receive these materials when your child is picked up, send them right back in to their class to get their material! 5) The students and our staff are both sooo excited about the Model and Actor's Presentation! We are so excited to open our special event to the public. This is the first time it has ever been offered to the public. Each student will receive 5 tickets to sell for $5.00. If you sell them, you get 1/2 of the profits and AM&T will receive 1/2. You can use your profit for the Southern Model & Talent Showcase April 24-26th or you may apply it to a photo shoot, comp cards, headshots, portfolio book, or a rainy day. It is a fundraiser for you! Should you need additional tickets, they will be available at the studio. Should you not sell your tickets, you must turn them in at the presentation. 6) Questions? We LOVE questions! It shows us all that you are interested and want to know more! Email, text or call me anytime between 10am and 9pm. 7). Just a reminder...we do have four agents as our special guests for the Model and Actor Presentation. They are here to see new talent and to enjoy the show. I take pictures of the family, and of each person in the family, mom with children, dad with children, mom and dad, just children, as well as candids. You will receive a disc of all images. These are copyright-free so you may develop as you wish. Should you want any pictures lightly retouched, I will do this at no charge. Major retouching can be done at $25 per picture. We are booking appointments for this Saturday, November 15th, Sunday, November 23rd, Saturday, November 29th and Sunday November 30th. Family photos are $100.00. Please join AM&T and Black Crow Media as we raise money for the Greater United Way of South GA this Sunday November 16th at 3pm at Miss Holiday Model of the South. This is a natural beauty pageant (natural hair and very little to no makeup). Contestants are judged on their natural beauty, poise/stage personality and how their outfit compliments them. Your attire can be anything from casual to dressy. It needs to be Christmas/Holiday wear. For example: jeans and a red sweater; red skirt with black top with tights and boots, etc. Girls Ages 1-23 are eligible to compete. Boys Ages 1-10 are eligible to compete. It is only $50 to enter. You may also enter Photogenic for $10 extra. Winners will receive $100 cash on stage as well as a $50 Savings Bond, crown, trophy, and sash. Winners will also win a scholarship to AM&T. Winners will be able to make appearances at Black Crow Media events if they are available. Have questions? Please let me know! Date Posted: 05:03:07 10/31/08 Fri Happy Halloween Everyone!! Kaileigh and I are so excited to dress up as the Wicked Witch of the West and Dorothy tonight. Speaking of Kaileigh...last Friday night we went to Jacksonville to see the Cheetah Girls. There was a three girl group who opened for them called The Clique Gilz. They were cute! So, I began thinking if I could put together a girl group to market to Disney and Nickelodeon. Just an experimental group. I do not want to start The Baby Blues again right now but I can handle three at a time! I knew three girls in Valdosta off the top of my head that would look good together and could all three sing well and would compliment each other. I met with them last week along with their parents, and they are all willing to try this out! If it works well, I will also look into marketing a teen group and possibly another child group. I know in Cordele, I would like to do the same thing very soon. Morgan Jones, Ashley Varner and Gabby Garner will make their debut at Christmas in the Park in December as "3 Dreamz"! We know you will all be supportive! We all know Mr Blake is just beside himself with excitment!! Good Luck Girls and Practice Hard!! |

We also learned that if your pig does not sell at the FFA auction, you cannot put it on Ebay. We had a friendly debate on the school uniform issue facing Lowndes County students.
