You complain of the cost to have sewage put in your home that will be there for a lifetime. So you pay for the grinder pump, so what? You could be in my parents situation. They live on a pond and are trying to sell their home. Because there is no sewage and their septic system doesn't meet state standards, they have to put in a new system which will cost $25,000 and because of the placement of the nearby wells, they must replace them too at an additional cost of 5 to 10,000 dollars. I think your fortunate to have the sewage running by your home and the cost to you is minimal compared to what could be the cost to replace your septic system. And septic systems don't last forever!!!!
