Shell, your spelling may be horrendous but you understanding of the public school system is flawless. You have said what most people know but are afraid to reduce their thoughts to writing. Most Politicians really think that money is the answer. As long as they believe that bunk they will never fix the real problems. Some of the problems that you bring to light have nothing to do with money but have everything to do with the attitudes of the people involved. The students that cause most of the problems have parents that don't take the time to teach their children right from wrong. The Teachers are hindered in their daily teaching duties by disruptive students. I honestly believe that the vast majority of Teachers are very conscientious in their effort to teach. However it is the attitude of some teachers to put in their hours and get out of that mad house as soon as the bell rings at the end of the day. The problems stem from a system that has failed miserably to address the disruptive student. In a private school system they deal with the student in the only way that works, they tell the parents that their little Johnnie or Suzy are no longer welcome at that School and the problem ends there. So I guess what I am saying is that the Private School is the answer to your problem. The Public School System cannot be fixed. It is only getting worse.
