Subject: Oh No Not School Again!

That is how we feel when school starts and our kids have to go back to the Jr High and back to the torment of verbile abuse that the kids are slinning around.I am part of a group of parents that have been talking about how we will deal this year,our kids are not perfect and we know kids can bring on trouble but this is not the case. There are a few students that are being alowd to threaten and verbily bully our kids and the only thing that is ever done is they get a talking to by there guidence councelers.We comned them for there efforts but it is not working. School is just about to start and the threats are starting warrning are being sent out before our kids even get threw the door. WE have tried to talk with the parents of these children and nothing is helped ( the apple does not fall fare from the tree). What we need is more parents to get on the school to handel this with more disapline and conseqences the only time the children get into trouble is if it comes to phisical violense . Now this is a good thing however why does it have to come to that if it is stoped at the sorse it will not get to that point. Also this zero toerance policy may sound good but there are children being beaten and getting suspended or dentention for being a victom. We had a child try and walk away from a fight and ended up with 2 broken ribs and OH YA ! Suspened for fighting. So lets tell our kids don't defend your self or you will get suspened get beatin instead.......the fact remands we have childern that have Headaces, stomace aces , dieria and some throwing up because they can't take it . Some kids say they rather get hit then have to deal every day with the fear and embaresment of what so called COOL KIDS OR TOUGH KIDS are putting them threw. What will happen this year and what will it take for the school to start wakeing up and help our kids with this problem? Oh a talking to or speach from our priciple , We need more and our Teachers hear and see this and do nothing. We had a student stay in a class room afaird to go in to the hall and told this teacher why and the teacher gave them detention and sent the student into the hall and before the student got to the next class was punched in the stomace. Dracut may not have gunns and knives to worry about but the MOUTH can do damge that stays with a child for the rest of there lives! So Dracut stop bragging that we are so awsome with better MCAST and better schools and more teachers look in to the closets and see the skelitins that are tormenting our children. Are you a parent that thinks everything is fine and your child is not having trouble guess what you could be wrong or it could be your kid this year . We are not going to take this laying down this year we will be taking this as far as we can even if we have to expose the sweet little town on national TV to get help. Our kids deserve the wright to walk the halls with out fear!
