Now, now FedUp. There is no reason to take your frustrations out on me. You admitted that the police did beef up their patrols. Correct? Just because it was in a certain time frame, on different occasions, you are not satisfied.

Have you ever thought that they also patrol Dracut in sectors? That each sector has it’s own patrol units. If you take a look at Dracut, you will indeed find that these sectors can be large in square miles. Having a patrol unit on your road 24/7 is impossible. It would indeed take away visible police presence from other parts of your area. It appears that is what you are looking for. If that is what you are looking for, then go to an auction and pick yourself up one of them old crown vic’s and park it in your driveway. It could deter some of them speeders. Of course your neighbors would catch on rather quick.

True, I was not at the meeting. True, I did offer my opinion. True, the police department has worked with the group by first meeting with them, and beefing up patrols when they are AVAILABLE.

You see, that is the problem in the world today. Everybody is moving real fast. Always in a rush. Need to get it fast, and get there fast. WHY? It isn’t going anywhere! Things run smoother when you yield to life. Slow down, step back and work the kinks out.

The only solutions I see to your problem is:

1.) Stop sign at Avis.
2.) Time framed one ways at Marsh and Old Marsh from 6:30AM to 8:30AM.
3.) Time framed one ways at Fox and Old Marsh from 4:00PM to 6:00PM.

Of course everyone else would want the same treatment, and Dracut would be filled with one ways.

I see the difference in the Dracut Police. I have noticed a more aggressive approach to motor vehicle violations. Give it a chance to work. Maybe one day we will rank up there as high as the Hudson, NH police department. They are very well known for their approach on motor vehicle violations. With the proper amount of patrol officers, we can get there.

P.S. The answer is no I am not. I do like politics though. ; ‘ )
