“Gee, Michael, that’s quite a switch!”

Isn’t it? Let’s just say that after sitting in with an individual and discussing the power plant issue, I have a better understanding of it. We all know that there is an ongoing battle from opposing groups, so I have decided to sit back and see how it plays out. You are so correct, that if I were an elected official, I would be accused of flip-flopping or pandering. Not like we haven’t seen that before. That’s politics for ya.

It is good to see that you are up to par on power plant education. As an elected official, that is a great tool to have in an issue like this. The worse thing in the world is having someone agreeing on something they know nothing about.

As far as the voting results in the past elections, Dracut has a very low turnout when it comes to voting. It is a shame that we do not get a larger turnout. The funny thing about it is that the majority is not even the majority. If we did have a larger turnout, past elections could have or maybe couldn’t have turned out differently. That is something we will never know. The 2001 race, Jack just slipped by and beat out Alan. Alan who? The power plant issue was out there, but it wasn’t utilized as a tool to change the voter’s decisions.

I voted for you in the past, and intend to in the future. So if it’s people like you that will stay on the board, then that is fine by me.

Thank you for taking the time and responding to my postings.

P.S. Yes the forum is fine, but some topics always seem to get drowned out by nonsense.
