Subject: Dracut Reaction

Can you feel it? If you drive up and down Lakeview Ave., you'll see what I mean. I realized today that when I lowered my flag yesterday that I wasn't the only one. The streets are bordered by American flags, telephone pole after telephone pole. As well as homeowner flags adorned on houses and poles (also at half-mast).
The outpouring of respect and sympathy is simply remarkable. I don't think I can ever remember a time when I was more proud of the community that I belonged to. I am honored to be a resident of Dracut. I think it was Ben Franklin who said at the time of the Declaration of Independence, We must all hang together, or most assuredly, we will all hang seperately. That spirit definitely lives on today.
