The first thing my kids did after this tragedy is do the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag I have outside of my home. I grew up with the the same thing, all throughout my school years, and would never have questioned it, or had my Grandmother and Grandfather clean the curb with my teeth!

I am so sick of people "complaining" about their "rights" being violated when it comes to this country! If they were not in this country, they couldn't even pronounce their offense. They would stand in front of a firing squad! I am not a church goer, but I do believe in the moment of silence and salute to our flag!

There were no school shootings, violence or anything else when we were growing up. We all said the salute to the flag and had a moment of silence! I grew up in Lowell, and never had any problem with predjudice or "offense"..now, Lowell is under fire, as are many other towns for displaying the Nativity scene!

If it bothers you, sit down or turn away. But, don't stop traditions that have made families one for so many years, and kept our country as free as it was when our founding founders began it. Stopping it because of a few fools complaining it "offends" them is ridiculous. Let them go to private school and tell the nun's they refuse to go to religion class! UGH!

I hope by the time my kids go to the high school, this is changed back to showing respect for personal thoughts and a country that they should be thankful for living in!

My rant for the day!
