MyDearest Preston,
I followed the law, I spent over $1,000.00 on plans and surveys for my proposed garage. What I failed to do is hold a sign at election time.
I went as far as to obtain (10) Thats ten...approved applications for variance from the building dept. where the ZBA granted additions and garages both attached as well as detached within a 2 mile radius of my home.
I presented them, and was told that those (all of them) were different circumstances then mine..and i proved no hardship that i needed a garage....One (JOHN CROWLEY) even went as far as to say that he could not see how i was even able to put a home on my property, and that I have been given every opportunity available by this town...(I have an audio copy of the meeting).
Yet the camp lots that surround Long Pond somehow got a nice facelift by tearing down more then 50% which last time I read, Required approval from conservation as well as the ZBA.No problem Fix up those 4 and 5000 sq. ft. lots,Tear down 3/4 of it and rebuild it how you like it.....were behind you 100%.
But up the street,There will be no Garage for you..Your request is somehow different......While your here though we have attached a tax on your property for our friends of east dracut to protect and preserve their land....for this you are somehow the same.!
