You are right, let me give Dennis Williams credit for being on this board and contributing. He has not responded to any of my questions directly, though, but that is his perogative. I have tried to answer his.

It is virtually impossible for us to come forward as experts on any or all levels of such a complicatd topic ast this. BUT, many have concerns and I think they should be heard. And many of us have questions, and I think they should be answered.

This could be a more powerful exchange if it were not laced with insults, intimidation, twisting of intentions, demeaning comments, etc. etc. Most people will not be treated this way. With a safer forum, more people might come forward and not dread the reaction to their "uninformed" question. Personally, I want to hear from people in Dracut, on this and other topics.

I must admit that each time I click the "send" button, I have this feeling of dread come over me regarding what kind of response will come flying back.

So I expect and accept bad forum behavior from others (unfortunately), but I am not prepared to from our elected officials.

Dennis Williams, as a contributor here, and as an elected official can really help set the tone of how these forums can be helpful (or vice versa). He can help the forums run better by taking a leadership role in modeling good forum behavior, and in return the forums can help him, and others, get a better reading of what is happening in town.

He has a lot of knowledge and is a bright man. I don't mean to pick him out, but the bad news is that he is the one on the forum addressing this topic in this manner -- BUT the good news is that he is the one on the forum addressing this topic (and congratulations to Dennis for that).
