Subject: Seal the deal and let's hokey pokey!

Recently we all took the pleasure of reading an article in the SUN that criticized the politicians of Dracut for not being able to seal the deal. I had to laugh as I read it. Seeing where it came from made me laugh even harder.

Why does this make me laugh so hard?

From a person who usually writes articles on the personal level, out comes this article that bashed Dracut. He may not agree with the way the politicians run things around here, and some of the residents don’t, but they are getting the job done. It may not be in a rapid growth mode that he supports, but any growth in Dracut is being controlled, and will be in the future. We did vote in the CPA, and that is a major step that we of Dracut have taken. Just take a look at Tewksbury and Chelmsford. We all know that he has a hand in there somewhere. This article was nothing more than an attack to criticize the politicians. Most likely to help weaken the link and slide a friend in.

We as Dracut did not fail to seal the deal on the power plant. The company themselves pulled out of the deal because of financial reasons. So they say. I myself was against the power plant for health and environmental reasons, and if any resident thought there would be none, they have a lot to learn. Like they say, things happen for a reason. The big buck is not coming into the Dracut’s financial picture, but I am sure with controlled growth, Dracut will indeed find a way to bring revenue into the town.

I must step out. I need to go find a way to make it look like I am wearing a seat belt as I attempt to cross the border to purchase my beer for this weekends party. You never know, maybe we can get a good hokey pokey circle going.

The Truth.
