In reply to: Bob 's message, "Re: Quarry Concert" on 17:08:53 07/11/01 Wed

Reading through the postings of Geraldine and Bob, I just can't believe how some people could go to a great community event such as, The Concert in the Quarry, with a clipboard in hand to check off, who was there and who wasn't. It's as if these two are kissing up to the hierarchy of the Dracut social circles in a vain attempt to prove they're better than anybody else. The only thing they can contribute to any conversation is name-dropping a public figure they saw at a social event. Boy, that really impresses the heck out of me, I'll tell ya. No wonder Geraldine and Bob had to use pseudonyms to sign their postings!

What about the music at the Quarry Concert? What about all the delicious food? What about the great weather we had that day? What about all the great, friendly people who attended that concert, public officials and non-public officials alike? For someone to go around with a clip-board to check off, who was there and who wasn't is just petty and pathetic. People like that are probably better off just staying home and watching soap operas on TV.

I can especially see why Bob needed to go with a pseudonym on his posting: here's a person who's criticizing Carvosa and Zabreik for hiding under their Que Pasa bunkers, yet this person is doing the exact same thing by hiding behind a pseudonym---what a hypocrite! Just out of curiousity, Bob, did you ever use the alias, "Just watching" on the unmoderated forum? Your styles sound very similar.

I'm not a Que Pasa fan, but I think anybody has the right to accept or reject an invitation to appear on a media outlet. Shaw and Migire have been doing their Weekly Roundtable now for about 10 years or so and look at all the stuff around town they just won't touch: the Ron Close house mess, the FBI investigation on Paul Gaudette and the building department, the lawsuit with Sevorance Trucking, just to name a few. Now with all these dark clouds hanging in the balnace, Shaw and Migure want to have Frank Zabriek on the Weekly Roundtable show either to side-step the aforementioned or because they're really hard up for guests to do their show.

If that's true about Frank Zabrekk never appearing on the Weekly roundtable, then he must be in pretty good company. Please correct me if I'm wrong here but Nick Lambros, Andy Graham, Paul Enis, Mike McLaughlin, Paul Gaudette, Ron Close, Sheila Richardson, and none of the Blatus' have ever appeared on roundtable as a guests. What's up with that? I think any one of those people would be more entertaining and more informative as a guest than Frank Zabrek, yet Bob's in love with this guy or something.

I got a great idea, Bob, why don't you do weekly roundtable, give those guys your opinions, and do a posting of what a wonderful experience it was. After that, you and Geraldine can hopefully grow up and get a life!
