Subject: Town Elections

Wow....Alan Thivierge was almost a selectman. What a scarry thought. Perhaps now the residents of Dracut will take notice and not sit back, assuming the best will be elected, as it almost did not happen. I admire anyone who is willing to get involved in the local level but it would be better if the candidate had a clue as to how town government operates. To run for the town's highest board without ever attending town meeting or even knowing what the purpose of capital planning or finance committee are should be a concern for all of us. Dracut needs smart, progressive leadership...there must be someone in this town who can fit the bill.
