If your going to have a debate, by all means have a debate. Let's not hide behind a web site and have a debate. Let's not hide behind a local cable access show (that won't air until about a month after the debate). By all means, have a open forum debate on the power plant that is coming to Dracut. Post this debate in the papers, local radio, local cable TV bullentin, flyers, and web sites. Put the gymnasium to use at Dracut High and let's have a good ole fashion debate for the public to view live. You have nothing to lose. Maybe a power plant.

Before you go into the debate, get the cold hard facts on the power plant, and what it has in store for the future of Dracut. Bring on the reasons that this power plant is being allowed, and let's discuss it. If it's money, money can come from other sources. Me myself, I prefer safety over money. Money can be replaced, life can't.

The glorious 17.5% of registered voters that voted in the recent election, voted for the preservation act. What will this power plant have in store for our open space? A 2% increase in property taxes to pay for the open space. Money well wasted if a power plant comes into play. Think about it.

The Truth.
