(The Good Lord knew that anyone living in the Nichol's household knew that beef was a vital part of any meal - even brunch.. which wasn't really a meal. There was a good half a cow in the freezer, since Braden wasn't the type to eat any ol' steer and had a monthly 'deal' with the local butcher. Of course, during his absense she had stopped the monthly orders, but they'd gotten a fresh one just a week before his return. She'd tossed a nice flank steak in with the bacon to fry and was adding cheese to the eggs when he came out. She looked over her shoulder at him, all sleep rumbled and adorably masculine, and smiled.) Let's see.. (She stopped herself just in time, saving her precious jeans, and wiped her hands on a towel, then pointed with the spatula she'd been holding.) Got your eggs, with cheese, tomatos and onions.. got some bacon frying over here.. hashbrowns will go on last.. and of course, a nice flank steak. (She looked entirely proud of herself at that, as she went to the fridge and poured him a glass of orange juice. She set it on the counter before him and pursed her lips.) You look like you could use like.. a week straight of sleep. (She said, her tone just thoughtful enough to make it apparent he looked like he had just crawled out from under a rock. Well, as affectionately as that could be made to sound, anyways.) Drink up, vitamins good. (She poked the glass, then went back to cooking, feeling not a bit upset about being the woman in the kitchen.. she liked taking care of her boys - she'd done this for Keegan.. why not for Braden?)
