WHY put Valentine into ANYTHING that has ANYTHING to do with this or ANYTHING ELSE that concerns Newburgh, our safety, our protection, our politics, our business, our future?

It's time to face the fact that these gsngs didn't come into Newburgh on Monday night. They've been coming in for MONTHS! YEARS! Like the French whrn the Nazis invaded, people and government in Newburgh did everything to welcome these gangs short of make and serve them breakfast. God knows Newburgh served them housing, furniture, transportation, cover jobs, medical attention. Everything to ENABLE them to settle comfortably. Newburgh welcomed them into the community. Pretty much gave them the key to the city. Newburgh LET them call Newburgh their HOME.

This is only one small facet of the ignorance, stupidity and complacency of Newburgh. It goes deeper. It's much broader. There's mention of the so called "mural" fiasco. Blame goes to Kiki Hayden and Garin Baker. But WHO enabled them? Blame for shortcomings in Downing Park goes to the DPPC. But WHO enabled them? Robinson Ave. reconstruction, neighborhood renovations, MORE, nothing gets done. WHO enables this?

Matters HAVE to be taken OUT of Newburgh because Newburgh has proven itself incompetent in ALL respects. Not even Orange county can be trusted in the matters any more. It's time to bring the state, the Federal into the issues and SOMEBODY who had a PROVEN success record. Beacon brought itself back. Kingston came back. Cold Spring came back. New Windsor holds its own. Newburgh fails, fails, fails. YEARS go by and Newburgh fails. Even back to the 1940s, the 1960s, 70s, 80s. FAILURE. Newburgh CAN NOT handle even 4 square miles of too much empty space. The evidence is right here in the rubble and recent news.

Success demands that Newburgh be taken out of the equation. Somebody else has to take control or ALL of this will only continue.
