Some locals prep for 2 or 3 months before the pageant, and girls miss out on competing in others that they may qualify for, whereas in other states you can sign up for a local and compete the following the weekend. Do you think the class would be more well rounded if girls had more opportunities to win a ticket to state? Just a thought. I like that some of the locals have longer wait times, especially if they tend to attract newer contestants, but I think it would be nice to have more locals that have shorter prep times so girls can enter other pageants.
