I second Smith. She's real and stunningly beautiful. And, she seems to genuinely care about people. But we will see if the judges do their job again this year and actually get us another good shot at Miss America. Renard or Smith would do well there.

I want Smith this year and Renard next year. I have a feeling Smith with not compete next year, but who am I to tell? Renard has said she wants to be WA's first MA, So I feel like she will compete until she ages out. Taryn, though only 20 and a sophomore in college, may stop because she's competed for three years. WA isn't really a state where you see many girls compete every year until they age out.

Reagan is just out of HS, but love her for next year. All hell will break loose from a pageant perspective, but Renard will most likely win. Anyone else think this is Peggy Miller's last year? Feels like it is although she and Mike will be missed.

Based on what I THINK and not want, or even who I think is best qualified, I would have to say Renard. It feels like she will win.

Great observations. Wonder how interviews are going.. why do you say renard is not well liked? I'm curious because I have never met her.

Renard is a front-runner, but if you notice her interactions with the other contestants you can tell she is NOT well liked. It was very apparent at orientation weekend. I hope she does well but based on what I saw and what I know, she wouldn't be the best representative for WA.

Sturgil thinks she has it in the bag and she might, but one must wonder if she has the face for the job.

Smith is definitely someone who would be an interesting and fun titleholder - is her talent strong enough to win WA? She'd be killed at MAO with what she did at the open/sweeper.

Murphy is stunningly beautiful on stage - no idea what her interview is like though.

Abbott is incredible in talent but couldn't win a local last year so I think her 1RU the year before was a fluke.

Springer is a dark horse - she's extremely smart so I would imagine her interview scores high, if she brings her A game she could be in the top 5 for sure...

Ultimately, I think it's going to come down to Sturgil, Smith, and Renard...

Renard is never well liked in any pageant she's done. Her personallity definitely is quirky and does not mix well with the other girls. She comes off stuck up and self centered but maybe that's just how she comes off. She's a strong competitor for sure and she knows it. She's my bet to win! She's a great winner, just not a miss congeniality.

She's a pageant girl through and through having been raised to compete and win at pageants since she was little. It's been her mother's dream for her to win Miss America and the entire family has dedicated their lives to the pageant system from competing to volunteering. They and Nicole, work very hard for the girls to compete so I can't take that away from them. It's a job and it's a job Nicole clearly wants and went after, winning the title. Now let's see if she can be the first Miss Washington to be crowned as Miss America. I hope she is, she is capable of doing so.

I think Annika will come up on top, she has wanted this and is ready. She made 1st runner up a couple years ago. I think she has high chances, even though Renard seems to be the crowd favorite.
