Subject: Miss Clark County Pageant Judges?? |

] Date Posted: 05:51:21 02/12/16 Fri Author Host/IP: c-71-236-182-111.hsd1.wa.comcast.net/71.236.182.111 Has anyone looked at who the judges are for the Miss Clark County Pageant? It appears that one of the judges have previously judged the young women running. For example, Gayle Beacock previously judged Ms. Cooper just a few years ago. Also, Nicola has a young daughter that is at the age she could run, isn’t that also against the MWSO rules? Maybe someone should look into this in order to avoid issues later down the road. Darrin, what do you think?? [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

So I'm sure that MWSO reviewed who folks have judged previously and whether or not a judge has a daughter that is age eligible. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

I personally have had the same judge more than once over the years. Not someone I knew too well outside of the competition. We only have so many people that can and are willing to judge. Unless there is for some reason a judge would have bias on one girl over the other, such as a former voice coach or such it should not be a very big problem especially sense you said the judge had judged her serval years ago [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Sheri backous (is she the director now?) had also judged one of the girls before. But I think you're right it doesn't matter for this specific pageant because we all know who's going to win [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

No matter what, she could move to a different local and blow most of those girls out of the water. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Or, is it about educational opportunities and helping young women better themselves? Your approach sure sounds a bit narrow minded. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

This is just insulting to the program. It should be fair and unbiased, not rigged by the board as this one clearly was. Shame on Sheri Backous and the Miss Clark Count Board. Date Posted: 20:55:35 02/27/16 Sat Author Host/IP: NoHost/107.77.97.50 Alicia won because of skill and talent. She was by far the most prepared and experienced of the contestants. Stop trying to belittle her successes by pretending that other reasons led to her winning. She is successful and smart and that should not threaten you, but inspire you. Don't be a child and stomp on her to make yourself bigger. >So all Alicia won, no surprise since the judges are >all either personal friends of her parents (it appears >that one of the judges is a business associate of her >father), past judges and/or voice coaches. What is going on are people trying to make issues and accusations unjustly. Why doesn't everyone just stop all the negativity and focus on the good. I for one hope all of the women running for Miss Washington have a wonderful experience. The MCC Board have hearts of Gold I wish them the very best and their two new title holders. The politics do indeed matter when it comes down to running a fair process for all of the young women and sponsors. Obviously that's not something you care about. It's all about the crown and winning, not the process for getting - the end does not justify the means! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Every woman that runs for a title is trying to win scholarships, promote their platform, support their community, etc and hopefully win a crown in the process. It is unfortunate that you need to promote negativity. I wish all the women andbyoung girls the best. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
