Joćo, I do agree with your statement of the news piece needing to give information of other candidates. The news piece is biased and doesn't really help give people a good understanding of what the candidates support. Because it is only about bashing Lula, it makes anyone who supports Lula want to stay on his side even more. Another reason it is bad to be biased in political articles is that anyone who believes that talking bad about any candidate, as in the news piece of The Washington Post, could alter their decision based on how people who support their same candidate publicly present their opinion.
I wouldn't want someone from my side being inconsiderate and acting unjustly in a public newspaper. If I saw that, I would realize whom I would be dealing with if the candidate I supported won.
