The idea of choosing the lesser of two evils is something that we had to face in the United States during the 2004 election. We had President Bush, which many people felt he was incompetent as a president the first term. At the same time the challenger was John Kerry, who seemed to never stick with any idea and just went along with popular opinion. It was thought by many that since Bush was in office during 9-11, it gave him a momentum push that was used to play off of people's feelings to gain the votes. The question we all faced was who would not do as much harm to the country. It was a close race and still to this day there are protests about Bush being president again. In these choices, it seems there is no way of winning without suffering at the same time. With these elections, there will always be the bad, but just hope that the good they do outweights the bad.
