It is true that leaving home for the first time will be very difficult. For me, leaving home to move to college was a huge step. I hadn't ever been away from my family for more than 3 weeks. It was a very hard transition to make to college, but being here has made me a more independent person. I am able to rely more on myself, than on my family. The friends that you make when you move away will also help you out a ton. They become your family away from home, and make you feel comfortable to be away from your family. The first time you move away from home is tough, but it will make you a stronger and more independent person.
