That's a terrible shame, Bryan. For me, at least. The trouble I have explaining to most people that men can and should call themselves feminists is unbelievable.
I'm glad you know of Dworkin and Greer...Good ol' Germaine, battleaxe as she is, I think she has some very valid points. I don't entirely agree with her view of transexuals, tho. That seems to defy the point of what she's arguing to me.
I personally side with the French Feminists more, namely Cixous, Irigaray, and Kristeva. I like their approach to gender as being fluid and changeable. They also have some wonderful theories on history, which I'm interested in, and I daresay you would be.
And any chance of showing me this Roman Temple site when you have a spare moment? It would be appreciated! Your wise words would not be in vain! ;)
