Subject: Sanibel in Summer?

I plan on comming from New York City to Sanibel on vacation. Can anyone tell us what it is like in sanibel in July and August? The kids are off from school so we thought about the Island because of its beaches and Wild Life. How oppressive the heat and Humidity???
